Welcome to our page re International Recipes From Around The World (2020): I don’t know about you but I enjoy eating at different restaurants with cuisines from different countries. It is so much fun to learn about the different types of dishes that people enjoy around the World!
On this page – you will find international recipes from around the world. To demonstrate, we are going to “jet” to ten different countries and take a look at some of the favorite foods in each one. Today we will be giving you ten recipes. As a matter of fact, each recipe is ready for you to download as a small .pdf booklet from this website.
Correspondingly, there is a short video regarding each recipe. By the same token, the videos show you some of the ingredients in picture format. These international recipes from around the world were compiled by people from those countries!

Tostadas:
We all have heard of Tostadas. It is a favorite Mexican dish: Of course, it consists of tortillas fried in boiling oil until they are crunchy and golden. The tostadas are served piled high with different garnishes. Of course, it depends on the persons’ palate. Cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, beans, and different meats are some of the garnishes that people enjoy. Most Americans also enjoy Tostadas!
Guacamole:
Guacamole is made of avocados, of course, mixed with onions, tomatoes, lemon and lime juices, and chili peppers. You may want to add a clove of garlic. It can be a garnishment for Mexican salads, or eaten with tortilla chips or simply served as a side dish. We, in America, love guacamole also!
Flan:
Not to mention, Flan is a favorite dessert from Mexico. It consists of whole milk, sweetened condensed milk, eggs, egg yolks. orange juice, orange peel, vanilla extract and cornstarch mixed in a blender until smooth (about a minute of mixing).
Today we are going to share a Mexican recipe with you called:
“Mexican Black Bean and Butternut Squash Burritos.”
The main ingredients for these burritos consist of the following: butternut squash (of course), olive oil, sweet chopped onion, minced garlic cloves, chopped red pepper, ground cumin, cayenne pepper; cooked, drained and rinsed black beans, Daiya cheese, and four tortilla wraps.

ITALY
Moreover, Italy is known for its delicious gourmet recipes for international foods. Therefore we will mention a few of them today in our blog about “International Recipes From Around The World!”
Bigoli:
This is the signature pasta of the Veneto region of Italy. The noodles are thick, tubular, and course. They usually contain ingredients including buckwheat flour and duck eggs. Red wine and vegetables usually accompany this dish. Of course, You may sprinkle it with parmesan cheese.
Arancini – Rice Balls:
You stuff these rice balls with ragu, tomato sauce, mozzarella, and peas. The shapes and fillings used are dependent on the part of Italy where they are made.
Gelato:
Smooth Creamy Gelato – different in Italy than in the US. While both gelato and ice cream contain cream, milk, and sugar; authentic gelato uses more milk and less cream than ice cream and generally doesn’t use egg yolks, which are a common ingredient in ice cream.
Tiramisu:
Ladyfingers are a main ingredient of Tiramisu. It also contains coffee, eggs, sugar, and cocoa and mascarpone cheese in Italy. It is a delicious sweet treat. There are also varieties of Tiramisu such as chocolate and fruit Tiramisu.

ISRAEL:
Let’s discuss a few of the favorite International Recipes of Israel:
Falafel:
This is the favorite Israeli food. It actually originated in Egypt. A mixture of chickpeas with spices and seasonings are the main ingredients. Each Falafel recipe may be different according to the person who makes it. Sometimes these little balls are stuffed in pita bread and served with fresh salads, hummus, tahini sauce etc.
Hummus:
Hummus is a favorite Israeli food that originated in Lebanon. It is a dip or spread made from crushed chickpeas and mixed with tahini sauce, lemon, olive oil, salt, and garlic. Pita bread is a favorite to dip into hummus.
Shakshooka:
Shakshooka actually originated in Arabia. It consists of tomatoes, onions, and garlic along with sweet spices like paprika. Sometimes it is served with a poached egg.
Knefeh – Israeli Dessert:
This was a dessert originally from Arabia but is popular in Israel today. This Knefeh dessert is a cheese pastry soaked in sweet sugar-based syrup. It is a pastry that you heat in butter and spread with white soft cheese (such as goat’s cheese). You may add Orange blossom or rose water to it. A warm syrup poured on top of it makes it even more delectable. Then again yogurt is a delicious side with the Knefeh.
But today in our article “International Foods Around The World,” we are going to share a Kosher Israeli recipe with you called:
Kosher roasted cauliflower and spiced chickpea salad.
Some of the ingredients found in this are cauliflower (of course!), extra virgin olive oil, spiced chickpeas, paprika, cumin, turmeric, baby arugula, pomegranate seeds, and roasted and salted almonds. Enjoy!

LEBANON
Here are a few interesting recipes that are enjoyed in Lebanon!
Baba Ghanoush:
This Lebanese dish is made of Tahini. The main difference between hummus and Baba Ghanoush is that hummus consists of chickpeas and Baba Ghanoush consists of eggplant. Pita bread and a drizzle of olive oil go hand-in-hand with Baba Ghanoush. Pomegranates are a very high anti-oxidant food and sometimes tops the Baba Ghanoush. Very delicious!
Rice Pilaf:
Rice is a Middle Eastern country staple. This is served with vermicelli noodles and a touch of parsley in Lebanon.
Tabbouleh:
Tabbouleh is a super-green salad with a spicy-tangy kick to it. It originated in Lebanon.

INDIA

IDLI:
Idli is South Indian breakfast food. It consists of ground rice and lentils formed in a circular mold. Frequently, fiery red chutney accompanies this dish.
Gulab Jamun:
Gulub Jamun consists of small balls of dried milk slow cooked and boiled in sugar syrup.
Rajma:
Uniquely, Rajma is a North India food that consists of kidney beans in a thick gravy.
Dhokla:
Additionally, this steamed cake made from gram flour and channa dal is one of the best things to come out of Gujarat, Western India.
Specifically, today we are going to share a recipe for an Indian food called:
India Lemon Rice.
Furthermore, the ingredients are Basmati, long-grain rice, (salt, water, butter), chopped cashew nuts, split black gram, mustard seeds, whole red chilies, turmeric powder, lemon juice, green coriander, and freshly shredded coconut.

Moreover, another favorite dish in Thailand is Gaeng Daeng (red curry). This consists of red curry paste, smooth coconut milk, sometimes tiny morsels of meat, and topped off with sliced kaffir lime leaves. It is a rich, aromatic curry that will tingle your taste buds. If meat is used it is very tender. It is mild, sweet, and delicious.
Pad Thai:
Pad Thai is another favorite dish of Thailand: This usually consists of: small, thin or wide noodles dropped in a searing hot wok along with crunchy bean sprouts, onion, and egg. It may include sugar, chili powder, or finely ground peanuts.

Thai Green Curry with Spring Vegetables.
Furthermore, some of the ingredients in this recipe include: Basmati rice, coconut oil or olive oil, white onion diced, finely chopped fresh ginger, garlic cloves finely chopped, asparagus, carrots, green curry paste, coconut milk, brown sugar, baby spinach, fresh lime juice, soy sauce, cilantro, and red pepper flakes.

VIETNAM
We will introduce some of the favorite dishes in Vietnam, so here we go!
Banh mi chay:
This is a freshly baked baguette stuffed with tofu, eggs, and mushrooms along with fresh chilies, pickles, and herbs and sprinkled with soy sauce.

To emphasize, this is a crunchy and fresh Vietnamese salad, made with thinly sliced green papaya, carrots, and lots of peanuts, sesame seeds, basil, and coriander. It is covered with a sweet-and-sour dressing of honey and rice vinegar.
Banh it tran:
By all means, you can eat this bean-filled dumpling as a snack or as a main part of a meal. You roll the dough out and stuff with cooked and mashed mung beans, fried shallots, and fresh spring onions. You boil the dumplings and serve them with a chili dipping sauce and a pickle.
Of course, today we are going to share a recipe with you for “Vietnamese Fresh Spring Rolls With Peanut Sauce.”
By the same token, the ingredients you need to have on hand are the following: twenty-four thin spring roll rice paper wrappers, [Vietnamese or Thai wrappers – not Chinese wrappers used for egg rolls]; rice vermicelli noodles, red peppers (capsicum), carrots, cucumbers, avocado, purple cabbage, fresh herbs (a couple of mint and/or basil leaves per roll), thin strips of lightly fried tofu or seitan, bean sprouts, Enoki mushrooms, lettuce, and spinach. But also for the peanut sauce, you need creamy natural peanut butter, soy or coconut milk, soy sauce, lime and lemon juice, maple syrup, ginger, chili powder, and unsalted peanuts.

Furthermore, this particular dish consists of noodles made from spinach topped with foods like tomato sauce, egg, potato, carrots, etc.
Fried Mashi:
Furthermore, this consists of tomatoes, green onions, garlic, chili, fresh coriander, Xianggu Mushrooms, Huanghua Cai (a dried flower from Shaanxi province), Peppercorns, fried rice, and fried noodles.
Dumplings:
To begin with, these can be classic dumplings stuffed with beef or veggies, whatever you choose.
Tofu and Pineapple:
This is made of a giant brick of tofu which sits in a mixed sauce of oil, chili, and sesame (among other unknown flavors), topped with green veggies. It is served with the pineapple and Aloe Vera together. It is sweet and mushy. You may or may not enjoy this dish!

Chinese Crispy Sweet and Sour Tofu.
In detail, the ingredients consist of the following: minced garlic cloves, freshly grated ginger, chili pepper flakes, unseasoned rice vinegar, maple syrup, tomato paste, low-sodium soy sauce, a brick of medium-firm tofu and vegetable oil.

Equally important, it is usually made of a brown broth flavored noodle soup with soy sauce. It usually contains meats, hard-boiled eggs, and vegetables such as onions, mushrooms, bean sprouts, seaweed, and corn.
Japanese Sweets:
Generally speaking, Japanese sweets are really colorful and delicate. In essence, each piece looks like a piece of art. Additionally, green tea accompanies Japanese sweet treats.
Youkan:
Youkan is a typical Japanese sweet that consists of jellied bean paste. Moreover, Youkan usually comes in three different colors; brown is made of black soybeans, yellow/green is made of green soybeans while purple is made of purple sweet potato.
Ningyo-yaki:
The Japanese also make delicious small cakes, in different cute shapes like birds, leaves, trees, and fish. One typical and popular cookie is Ningyo-yaki that you will see in all souvenir shops around Japan. Furthermore, Ningyo-yaki is made from fluffy batter filled with sweet bean paste, and they come in all different shapes from Hello Kitty to cute birds to cherry blossoms.
Japanese Ice Cream:
Ice cream is big in Japan! Have you ever eaten Japanese ice cream? If not, it is a must to try.

Japanese Vegan Okonomiyaki
